Lumie — Privacy Policy

At Lumie, we believe calm begins with clarity — including clarity about your data.
This Privacy Policy explains what information is (and isn’t) collected when you use the Lumie app, how it’s used, and how you stay in control of it.

By installing or using Lumie, you agree to this Policy. If you prefer not to, please don’t use the app.

What Lumie Collects

Lumie is designed to work with as little personal data as possible.

When you use the app, we may receive:

• Basic app data: technical information like device type, operating system, language, and general usage patterns (to make Lumie work smoothly).
• Location (optional): if you choose to allow it, Lumie can use your current location to suggest nearby peaceful places. You can turn this off anytime in your phone settings.
• Things you share: if you decide to add or post calm spots, photos, or notes, they’ll be visible to others only within Lumie’s community features.

We do not access your contacts, photos, or personal files outside what you voluntarily share.

How Your Data Is Used

The information we collect helps Lumie:

• Show relevant locations and mindfulness spots near you;
• Keep the app reliable and fast;
• Understand what features users find helpful;
• Develop new mindful experiences and calm tools.

Data is analyzed only in aggregated or anonymized form whenever possible.

Sharing and Disclosure

Your data stays private. Lumie does not sell or rent user information.
We share limited information only when it’s essential:

• With technical providers who host, store, or analyze app data under strict confidentiality;
• If required by law or necessary to protect user safety or rights.

How Long We Keep Data

Data is kept only as long as needed to provide the Lumie experience.
If you remove your content or delete your account (once that feature is available), related information will be permanently erased from our active systems.

Your Control

Lumie is built around user choice. You can:

• Switch off location access anytime;
• Decide whether to share calm places publicly;
• Delete your shared content within the app;
• Uninstall Lumie if you want to stop all data collection.

Security

We apply industry-standard security measures to protect data from unauthorized access, alteration, or loss.
Still, no mobile service can be completely risk-free, and we encourage you to use Lumie responsibly.

Updates

From time to time, this Policy may change to reflect app improvements or new legal requirements. The newest version will always be available in the app and on its store page.
